In France, nearly 300 000 jobs in the hospitality industry can’t find candidates. This is difficult to understand in a country which counts around 3,2 millions unemployed. Recruiters tried to attract candidates by increasing salaries, offering bonuses or better working conditions, in vain. So, to face this acute staff shortages, five stars hotels on the French Riviera called on Ukrainian women refugees. They don’t have any experiences as waitress or as housekeeper. Some of them lost home when it’s not a child died at the front. They don’t even speak French or English. Above all, they still have to make a living, because they don’t have any others choice than to work.
